My Background:
After completing graduate school at The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Communication, I entered a career in public service. I moved all over the country as an executive in government. I have had many personal experiences with buying, selling, and short- and long-distance relocations. I have even “experimented” with real estate as an investment, owner financing, and for sale by owner property. And of course, I gained much knowledge and experience in business leadership, management, and strategic planning. In 2014, I made the decision to follow my heart and enter the Real Estate profession.
My goal is to use my wide ranging knowledge and skills in communications, technology, marketing, negotiations and planning so my customers and clients have the best possible real estate experience.
What I’m Doing Now:
As a full time licensed REALTOR®, I am committed to providing you with the best quality “Five Star” customer service–treating you the way you want to be treated. I have modeled my business processes after some of the most successful and innovative real estate companies in the country. I am implementing advanced mobile and marketing technology, including professional photography, to help sellers market their homes effectively and to help buyers find the right home at the right price. I am certified e-Pro® by the National Association of Realtors. (What is e-PRO®?). I am also a certified Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) and help both buyers and sellers set an accurate price using a sophisticated Comparative Market Analysis, or CMA.
I spent most of my previous career helping Veterans in varied capacities. As a dedicated supporter of Veterans and the military, I gained special knowledge and skills, and received the National Association of Realtors certification as a Military Relocation Professional (MRP). My understanding of military issues and personal experiences with (PCS) Permanent Change of Station give me valuable added insight and ability to assist military members and their families in the relocation process.
You can also see that continuous learning is important to me. I have earned my Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation and am a licensed Real Estate Broker, Certified Life Coach and Master Financial Coach. I have completed Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) (Home Staging) education.
The Personal Stuff:
Although, I have moved many times and worked in many different cities and states, I have been a resident of Holtville/Slapout, Alabama, since 2003 along with my husband and two adult children. I am also known as “Jess’ Mom” (aka “Mama Meuse”)– the mom of Season 13 American Idol Finalist and singer-songwriter-recording artist Jessica Meuse. In that role, as you can imagine, I learned a lot and had some interesting and exciting experiences with the world of the media and Reality Television. (http://jessicameuse.com/). Health, wellness and fitness are also very important to me, so I make sure my plans include supporting a healthy spirit, body, and mind so that I can be at my absolute best every day and every time. So it makes sense that I also serve as a Health and Wellness coach.
